Kathryn “Ryn” Deitz, Ph.D., Certified Financial Stress Reduction (R) Coach
Founder, and CEO, Rocky Mountain Wealthy Spirit
Somehow, while growing up, Ryn Deitz got the weird idea that she had to choose between either helping people, or making money. Like most early “money concepts”, this one was totally irrational. It also had very real consequences.
Choosing to help people, and telling herself that money wasn’t really important, Ryn earned a Ph.D. in counseling psychology. She settled down, happily teaching college students all the wonderful ways behavioral science could help people.
Fast forward 10 years: Ryn picked up the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Suddenly, she realized maybe she didn’t know as much about money as she thought she did. Yikes! Maybe money IS important! And so (still convinced that she would have to give up helping people in order to have money), Ryn decided as much as she loved helping people, now, by golly!, it was time to make some money!
Ryn and her husband started investing in real estate. Eventually, Ryn left academia to become a full-time entrepreneur. Experiencing the joys and terrors that are part of the journey toward financial freedom, Ryn fine-tuned all the wonderful coping skills she had been teaching for so many years.
After selling a small business (at a profit – yea!), Ryn was looking around for whatever was next. One of Ryn’s mentors, Chellie Campbell, pointed out that Ryn could help lots of people AND make lots of money AND have lots of fun, too. Ryn’s educational company, Rocky Mountain Wealthy Spirit, was born.
The mission of Rocky Mountain Wealthy Spirit is to align your money life with the rest of your life so your money supports you instead of stresses you. Rocky Mountain Wealthy Spirit specializes in helping entrepreneurs develop the emotional strength to keep going when the going gets tough.
When she is not teaching workshops, coaching or consulting, Ryn practices yoga, invests in real estate, writes, and is a good pack leader to the family's four dogs.
